On the morning of July 13, the 2017 Training Class for Sports Dance Coaches and Judges from National Universities and Middle Schools was inaugurated at the Press Conference Hall of the new gymnasium in NEFU. Almost 80 educators, P.E. teachers, club instructors, judges and students loving sports dance from the whole nation attended the ceremony.  

The Deputy Secretary of CPC in NEFU, Chen Wenhui attended the ceremony and gave a speech. She first thanked the great support given by theChinese College Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education, Heilongjiang Education Department and Heilongjiang Student Sports Association for holding the ceremony.She introduced the scale of establishment, construction of subjects and faculty, facilities and cultures of sports in NEFU. She also mentioned the development and achievements of sports dance of NEFU. She wished that every student could learn something during the period of training, and colleges and universities could enhance communication and exchange visits through this training.

The leading researcher of the Sports, Health and Arts Office of Heilongjiang Education Department, Guo Qingshan, said that sports dance in China started late, but the momentum of growth was swift and violent, and it was a rare chance to hold this training class. He wished students could learn skills taught by experts carefully, and the training could accelerate the development of sports dance in NEFU, which made more schools and students understand the power and beauty brought by sports dance. 

The Executive Vice Secretary-General from the Sports Dance Branch of FUSC, the Head of Teaching and Research Section of Sports and Arts from the College of Sports in Kunming College, Tian Yingjuan, said that Cao Chunyan and Fu Lei of NEFU have actively joined in the activities of sports dance since 2005 and showed the sports dance from NEFU to all people. She also said that the training class of NEFU was a good start for colleges and universities in the three northeast provinces of China to face to the whole country. She wished every student could pass the training examinations and get good grades.

This training class is the second station of “the 2017 Training Class for Sports Dance Coaches and Judges from National Universities and Middle Schools”, and the first station has been finished in Xi’an already.

From July 11 to 15, the supervisors sent by FUSC would make explanation for the basic knowledge of sports dance, organizations of competition and scoring method and the latest code of points and train students for the latest skills and organizations and arrangements of competition of campus sports dance and national sports dance. After training, students who pass the examinations can get certificates issued by coaches, judges and examiners from FUSC.
