The national seminar on transportation disciplines and specialty construction hosted by NEFU was held in Mordern Hotel on July 22. Experts and scholars from Southeast University, Jilin University, Beijing Jiaotong University and other colleges and universities attended the seminar. Through academic reports and symposiums, it is agreed that transportation disciplines and specialty construction should cultivate high-quality engineering and management talents in the field of transportation to meet the needs of modernization and the future development of social science and technology, with innovative spirit, practical ability and international vision.

Prof. Wu Haiquan, chief accountant of NEFU, Prof. Wangwei, Director of the Civil Engineering Department of Northeast University and Convener of the Transportation Engineering Discipline Committee of the State Council, Prof. Liu Hanbing, Dean of the School of Transportation of Jilin University and member of the Transportation Review Group of the State Council, Prof. Zhu Xiaoning, Party Secretary of the School of Transportation of Beijing Jiaotong University, member and Secretary General of the Transportation Committee of China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association, Prof. Shao Chunfu, Director of Transportation Planning and Management Disciplines from Beijing Jiaotong University, Director of the Key Laboratory of Urban Traffic Complex Theory and Technology of the Ministry of Education, and Vice Director of the Traffic Engineering Steering Committee of Ministry of education, directors of the relevant departments of NEFU, teachers and students of the College of Transportation attended the meeting.
