On October 3, Vice Minister of Education Sun Yao arrived at NEFU. Sun Yao conducted a special study on the team construction of the counselors for ethnic minority students. Zhang Zhikun, the Secretary of the Party Committee of NEFU, and Li Bin, the President of NEFU, both made reports to Vice Minister Sun Yao.

Zhang and Li gave a comprehensive introduction of our university, including discipline construction, personnel training, teaching, and scientific research. The reports focused on the education and management of students, especially on the education and management of ethnic minority students and the team construction of their counselors.

After listening to the report, Vice Minister Sun Yao affirmed the work on student education, management and the counselor team construction. He pointed out that currently, the Party and the country attach great importance to education, and place educational development above everything else. He hoped that NEFU would seize opportunities, deepen the reform of the educational system, and promote development and construction, in order to achieve new results.
