On the morning of October 18, the president of Vladivostok State University Economics and Service visited NEFU. President Li Bin and Vice President Zhou Hongli met the guests in theAdministrationBuilding.

President Li Bin warmly welcomed the guests. He said that the two universities have a long history of cooperation and friendship. Through exchanges and visits, the two universities have made great progress in the work of “2 + 2” undergraduates and international students. President Li Bin also said that under the background of the “OBOR,” the two universities should seize the opportunity and strengthen the cooperation in scientific research, economic research, and high-level personnel training in order to boost the education and regional economic development in the two countries.

The president of Vladivostok State University Economics and Service expressed her thanks for the warm reception of NEFU. She said that the cooperation not only conformed to the “OBOR” initiative of the Chinese government, but also is in line with the “Far East Development Plan” and “Vladivostok Free Port” spirit of the Russian government. She said that both sides have succeeded in training “2 + 2” undergraduates and will certainly achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.

At the meeting, the two sides conducted detailed discussions on the establishment of theFar EastEconomicStrategyResearchCenter, the training of “2 + 2” undergraduates and the work of foreign students. They also exchanged lists of professors in economics and urged the professors in economics to directly contact each other. At the same time, the two sides signed the “International Education Cooperation Agreement betweenNortheastForestryUniversityand Vladivostok State University Economics and Service.”Alexandra Zaitseva, the Department of Physical Education Director of Vladivostok State University Economics and Service, Wang Bing, the Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Activities Office, and relevantdepartments’ heads from NEFU attended the meeting.
