Recently, the 12th National Undergraduate “NXP Cup” Intelligent Vehicle Competition finals were held at Changshu Institute of Technology in Jiangsu Province. The team from NEFU won 2 first prizes and 1 second prize.
From July 12-15, the Northeast Division trials were held at Dalian University of Technology. A total of more than 200 teams from nearly 50 universities in the three provinces in Northeast China andInner Mongoliacompeted for the national finals places. The team from NEFU participated in the competitions of all six groups including the general electromagnetic group, electromagnetic energy-saving group, electromagnetic dual-car chase group, four-wheel photoelectric group, two-wheeled vertical group, and photoelectric dual-car chase group. NEFU won 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and qualification for the national finals.
In the national finals, more than 300 teams from nearly 200 universities gathered at Changshu Institute of Technology. The team from NEFU got the best record in history, of which the double-car confrontation group entered the national top eight and won a national first prize; the four-wheel photoelectric group ranked 9th and won a national first prize; the general electromagnetic group ranked 21st and won a national second prize.
From the first competition in 2011, our team has won 5 national first prizes, 12 national second prizes and 41 prizes in the Northeast Division. 80% of the team members have become graduate students, and the employment rate is 100%. All of the jobs are technical research positions. The achievements in this competition have benefited from the in-depth implementation of personnel training. By opening up laboratory resources and improving the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, we have perfected the cultivation of innovative engineering talents, and NEFU has effectively improved the quality of engineering personnel training.
The National Undergraduates Intelligent Vehicle Competition is one of the national college student top events commissioned by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the Ministry of Education automation teaching steering committee, and co-sponsored by NXP Semiconductors Co., Ltd. Through semifinals in the northeast, north, east, southChinaand other eight sub-division selections, outstanding teams are chosen to participate in the national finals.
