On the afternoon of October 24, NEFU held a ceremony in the lobby of the Science and Technology Building to officially begin the operation of the Northeast Forestry University Science and Technology Park, marking a new chapter in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and incubation of science and technology enterprises in NEFU. This will surely bring about new developments in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and incubation of technology companies.
Yang Tingshuang, the Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, Li Zhijie, the Director of the Science and Technology Bureau, Zhang Zhikun, Party Secretary of NEFU, Li Bin, President and Deputy Party Secretary of NEFU, Zhou Hongli, Vice President of NEFU, and directors of offices in the Provincial Science and Technology Department, the Science and Technology Bureau, and NEFU attended the ceremony. Vice president Zhou Hongli presided over the launching ceremony.
Zhang Zhikun expressed his congratulations on the launching of the Science and Technology Park in NEFU and thanked the Provincial Science and Technology Department and the Science and Technology Bureau for their support to our university over the years. He said NEFU will continue to push forward the construction of the Park and set up a platform for scientific and technological innovation to make contributions to science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship in Harbin, taking "double first-class" construction as an opportunity.
Guo Yanling, a business representative and entrepreneurial teacher, said she was grateful to the Science and Technology Department and NEFU for supporting and setting up the Park. She was expecting to incubate her achievements in the Park so that the achievements could truly become productive forces.
Li Zhijie said in his speech that the first advantage of Heilongjiang province was the advantage of science and technology, as the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau had adopted many measures to create a good environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.Additionally, the Science and Technology Bureau would establish industrial technology research institutes and specialized technology transformation agencies to provide further support for universities.
Yang Tingshuang said that the launching ceremony was not only the operation of the Park, but also an important measure taken by NEFU to respond to the call of our nation and the 19thNational Congress. The construction of the Park was a needed development. It showed that the leaders of NEFU highly value scientific and technological innovation. Over time, this park would surely become a symbol of national-level science parks and forestry universities.

Currently 14 enterprises have settled in the Park and 13 teachers have joined in. Based on the university, the Science and Technology Park will provide the platform for high and new technology enterprises, entrepreneurial talent training, technical transformation and combination of production and research, and gradually become a multifunctional science and technology park, making greater contributions to socio-economic development.
