Professors Chen Zhijun, Li Shujun, and Liu Shouxin from the academy of Material science and engineering in NEFU, summarized and wrote a review of natural product-derived carbon dots based on the group’s accumulation of research into natural product-derived carbon dots and investigation of both foreign and domestic relevant literature. The research results are published in the top journal ChemSusChem(IF = 7.2)in the field of biomass under the title of “Review of natural product-derived carbon dots: from natural products to functional materials”.
In this review, we focused on the preparation of biomass carbon dots from the perspective of efficient utilization of biomass, and discussed in detail the use of biomass carbon dots as a new class of nanomaterials in catalysis, energy storage, imaging, and sensor Collar role. In addition, the current challenges are also discussed in the review. This article is the first one in recent years on biomass carbon point material review, and future research will be positively impacted by this review.
