From December 6th to 8th, the finals and awards ceremony of the 2nd National Agricultural and Forestry College Postgraduate Academic Science and Technology Works,hosted by the China Academic Degree and Graduate Education Association of Agricultural and Forestry Academic Work Committee and the National Agricultural Professional Degree Education Steering Committee, and cooperated by Nanjing Agricultural University and Nanjing Forestry University, was held at Nanjing Agricultural University. A total of 177 works recommended by 37 agricultural and forestry colleges across the country participated in this competition, and 36 works of the 25 agricultural and forestry colleges were selected for the finals. Four worksfromNEFU won the national second prize, and two works won the national third prize. NEFU wasalsogranted the outstanding organization award.

This competition has been paid high attention by NEFU since its start in September this year. The declaration of the competition was launched through the students' voluntary registration, the recommendation of the tutor, the preliminary examination of the college, and the university evaluation with the comprehensive consideration of the scientific, advancement, and practical significance of the works. According to the scientific and technological inventions, natural science academic papers, social science research reports and academic papers, the declaration of the competition was completed with high efficiencyand quality under the preferred recommendation of professional review experts.

After rigorous evaluation by expertsfromthe national competition, the work of Wang Ying from the College of Science of NEFU “Flexible Self-Repairing Human Body Motion Monitoring Device”was shortlisted for the on-site demonstration of the technological invention and production, and on-site defense. During the defense process, from the perspective of the independent innovation of the works, Wang Ying showed the science and technology and application prospects. Wang Yin respondedtothe questions of the judges calmly, and communicated with the judges actively, which fully demonstrated the style of postgraduate studentsatNEFU.

Itwas reported that the national agricultural and forestry college postgraduate academic and scientific works competitionwas in accordance with the relevant documents of the General Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance. The competition isapostgraduate academic and scientific activity that is oriented towardsdemonstration and the characteristics of agriculture and forestry colleges, while alsopromotingaspirit of innovation. Itwas hosted by the China Academic Degree and Graduate Education Association of Agricultural and Forestry Academic Work Committee and the National Agricultural Professional Degree Education Steering Committee. The competition aims to “inspire innovation drive, promote talent training, enhance social services, and help rural revitalization". The competition advocates the postgraduates of agricultural and forestry colleges to pay equal attention to the theory and practice, study hard, explore actively, and cultivate scientific research and innovation spirit and practical ability, which promote the academic level of postgraduate students in agricultural and forestry universities, and accelerate the cultivation of outstanding talents with potential academic innovation. This competition has further encouraged the innovation enthusiasm and confidence of postgraduate students of NEFU, and demonstrates the necessity of the transformation of scientific research results.
