A few days ago, the final of the 12th ICBC Financial e-Union “Challenge Cup” Heilongjiang Province College Student Entrepreneurship Competition came to a close at Harbin Engineering University. The number of gold awards and the number of total awards won by NEFU were both among the top, and NEFU also won the “Winning Cup” and the Excellent Organization Award in the competition.

The works selected by NEFU stood out among more than 5,000 projects in the competition. Six projects including “Intelligent Self-repairing Flexible Strain Sensor” won gold awards, eight projects including “Urea-formaldehyde Resin Insulation Board Based on Microwave Foaming” won silver awards, and ten projects including “Car Companion---Vehicle Auxiliary Equipment Research, Development and Promotion Project” won bronze awards.

The quality and quantity of NEFU’s entries in this competition hit a record high, with a total of 161 projects participating in the competition. After selection and recommendation, 41 works were shortlisted for the provincial final. In the final, the contestants gave online presentations for each project. The review committee composed of 25 people including national review experts, university experts and scholars, models of innovation and entrepreneurship, and representatives of poverty alleviation officials in villages asked questions and scored based on the social value, practical process, innovation significance, development prospects, teamwork, and other factors. The works selected by NEFU have been unanimously praised by the review experts.

The 12th “Challenge Cup” Heilongjiang Province College Student Entrepreneurship Competition was co-sponsored by the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education, the Heilongjiang Association for Science and Technology, and the Heilongjiang Student Federation. Aiming at the five development concepts of innovation, coordination, environmental protection, openness, sharing, the goal of poverty alleviation, and a comprehensive well-off in 2020, this competition set up five categories: technological innovation and future industries, rural revitalization and poverty alleviation, urban governance and social services, ecological environmental protection and sustainable development, cultural creativity and regional cooperation.
