In order to create an atmosphere ofprotectingintellectual property rights inourschool and enhance the awareness ofintellectual propertyamong teachers and students, the library launched theFourthPatentServiceMonth with the theme of "innovation, integration and development". The activity, whichincludesexam training for patent agents, lectures on patent applications, appointment training and photo exhibitions,lasted for one monthwith more than 1000 participants and produced excellent effects.

From November 3 to 5, our university and Heilongjiang Intellectual PropertyAdministration corporatelygave training courses before the2020 PatentAgent Examination,inresponse to the needs of our teachers and students. Experts from thePatentExaminationCooperation(Henan) Center of the Patient Office, CNIPA were invitedto givelectures. During the 3-day training, the experts gave systematic lectures on the overview of patent law, the writing of patent application documents and case analysis, the reply to the notice of examination opinions and the modification of application documents, the reexamination of patent applications and the invalidation of patent rights, and other related knowledge.Affected by the epidemic, the training was conductedonline through TencentMeeting wherenearly 200 trainees participated.

In addition, during the activity, our school held six lectures,namely,"BasicKnowledge ofPatentApplication", "PatentLiterature andUtilization", "PatentRetrievalSkills", "Preparation for DesignPatentDocuments", "WritingSkills of UtilityModelPatentDocuments" and "Learning andUtilization of IntellectualPropertyRemotePlatform". Each training wassoextensive and practical that every time the classroom was packed. The appealing exhibition related to intellectual propertyrightswas also held in the gallery on the second floor of the library, with a total of 28 exhibition boards which were divided into patent, trademark, copyright, new varieties of plants and business secret,coveringthe application, registration, inquiry and protection of various intellectual property rights.

OurPatentServiceMonth is held in November every year and has been helda total of four times. Different themes and contents are setyearlyaccording to the needs of teachers and students, which lays a good foundation for promoting collaborative innovation and the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements of the school.
