A few days ago, the final of 2020 China Robotics Competition & RoboCup China Open came to an end in Jimo District, Qingdao, and NEFU students won a national second prize and a national third prize.
Sponsored by the Chinese Association of Automation, China Robotics Competition & RoboCup China Open has been selected into the competition list ofEvaluation Results of' Innovative Talents Training and Discipline Competition in Chinese Universities. It is one of the robotics discipline competitions with the largest influence and the highest comprehensive technology in China. The contest was held in the Sports Center of Chuangzhi New Area, Jimo District, Qingdao from November 19 to 22, 2020. A total of 780 teams from 250 well-known universities in China, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, took part in the competition.
Starting from 2019, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Engineering Teaching Practice Center organized our students to prepare for the competition. After three days of fierce contests, NEFUers used “NEFU Combat Master” and “NEFU Clairvoyance” to participate in the events of Autonomous Humanoid Sanda and Visual Challenge under the Robot Martial Arts Arena, and won a second and third prize.
The Autonomous Humanoid Sanda Event is a antagonistic robot contest, which is similar to human arena. The teams need to design and manufacture robots with independent intellectual property rights. The robots detect the position of themselves and their opponents through various sensors on the arena, adjust the attack and defense strategies at any time according to the preset design program algorithm, and attack their opponent with various actuators (weapons) until the opponent is knocked out.
The Vision Challenge Event aims to promote the application of machine vision in intelligent robots. In order to achieve the ultimate combat based on machine vision and hand-eye synergy technologies, it integrates vision and motion control to complete different challenges.
