In order to further promote the exchanges and cooperation betweenNEFU and high-level universities, the signing ceremony between ouruniversity and Australian Education Management Group (AEMG Group) was held in Conference Room 609 ofAulin College on January 20th, 2021. NEFUPresident Li Bin, Vice President Song Wenlong, Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology Pan Jianping, Director of the International Cooperation Department Sun Hongzhi, theLeadership team of Aulin College,the Chairman of AEMG Group Li Xinqing, Executive DirectorWang Jing, President of AEMG University Prof. Ian Young, Vice President of AEMG Group Lv Yuqi, and Senior Minister Duan Yucai attended the signing ceremony. On behalf of both parties, President Li Bin and Chairman Li Xinqing signed a memorandum of cooperation on the project of theNEFU Aulin Joint Research Institute.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, our university will further strengthen cooperation with the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the University of Western Australia, the University of Technology Sydney and other world-class universities in scientific research fields such as ecology, computer science, mechanical engineering, forestry, chemistry, and materials science and engineering, and establish two international joint research centers ofIntelligentForestry andForestSourceChemistry& Materials to carry out international scientific researchproject cooperation and jointcultivation of high-level international talents.

The launching of the project ofNEFU Aulin Joint Research Institute will increase in-depth exchanges with internationally respecteduniversities and carry out substantial scientific research cooperation. It will further introduce foreign advanced concepts ofeducation,teaching and scientific research management to build an international scientific research platform, set up a joint doctoralsupervisors’ team, promote international scientific research project cooperation, and help the “DoubleFirst-Class” construction and connotation construction and developmentofteaching quality, which is of great significance for the further promotion of international cooperation and high-leveltalent cultivation.
