Recently, the list of awardees of the“2020 Chinese Government Scholarship for Excellent International Students” was announced by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Ph.D. studentShahidAli of the College of Life Science, Ph.D. studentDina Mohamed Mahmoud Elshenawiof the School of Marxism and master’s studentFaris Rafi Almay Widagoof the School of Forestry were on the list.It has been 4 years in a row that our school has had international students win this award, and this year, the number of winnershit arecordhigh.

The award "Chinese Government Scholarship for Excellent International Students" has been established by the Ministry of Education and is the highest honor given to international students by the Chinese government. The participants are all recommended by universities and selected by experts organized by the Ministry of Education. Only after a stiff competition and rigorous review will the final list of winners be determined. In 2020-2021, this scholarship provides 200 places in universities across the country, with a maximum of 3 students recommended by each university. All the three international students recommended by our school were awarded.
