Recently,Forest Engineering, an academic magazine sponsored by our university, was included in the 2020 edition ofA Guide to the Core Chinese Periodical (9th edition).

The review was conducted by more than 100 experts and journalists from a variety of relevant agencies, such as university libraries in Beijing, the National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing VipInfo,the Information Center of Renmin University of China, the Electronic Journal of Chinese Academic Journals (CD-ROM), the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, Beijing Wanfang Data Co., Ltd, National Library, Beijing Chaoxing Information technology Co, Ltd and others. Based on the principles and methods of bibliometrics as well as quantitative screening and qualitative review by experts，1,990 core journals were selected from all Chinese journals being published in China. 

The inclusion ofForest Engineering in theGuide fully proves the steady improvement of the magazine and its recognition by industry experts, readers and authors.

Up to now, four Chinese science and technology journals sponsored by NEFU--Journal of Northeastern Forestry University,Bulletin of Botanical Research, Chinese Journal of Wildlife, andForest Engineering, have been included in theGuide, further demonstrating the level of the Chinese science and technology journals of our university.
