Recently, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) held a forum on the establishment of first-class journals of forestry and grass science and technology and issued the list of leading and key journals.Among the periodicals, NEFU’sJournal of Northeast Forestry Universitywas listed as a leading journal, whilePlant Research,Forest EngineeringandJournal of Wildlifewere selected as key journals.

In May, the Chinese Society of Forestry (CSF) evaluated the forestry and grass science and technology journals, delegated by NFGA. 84 periodicals were included, all of which were well qualified. This review will be carried out continuously on a three-year cycle.

NEFU sees this selection of leading journals and key journalsin forest and grassland science and technology as an opportunity and step to promoting our journals. We will stick to the right political orientation, values, and drift of public opinions and adhere to strict standards of ethics in our research. The academic quality, editing standard, and management of journals will be continuously upgraded to bring them to the leading edge and become important carriers to exchange fruits of innovation in forest and grassland science and technology.
