A few days ago, the finals of the 16th China Creative Challenges Contest came to an end at Guangxi Normal University. The competition collected a total of 131,670 works from domestic high-level universities such as Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, and the Central Academy of Fine Arts and among them, there are 7,033 from universities in Heilongjiang Province. NEFU’ s teachers and students from Industrial Design, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering participated in the contest for the first time. They submitted 58 works and won two national second prizes and two national third prizes. 4 teachers were awarded the Instructor Award.

The China Creative Challenges Contest is co-sponsored by Association of Fundamental Computing Education in Chinese Universities, and was selected into National Subject Competition Rankings of General Universities and Colleges, which is released by the China Association of Higher Education. It is an important contest for college education and teaching reform and innovative talent training and also large-scale professional contests in the field of creative digital art design with numerous colleges and universities participating. The contest has a wide influence, a wide range of participation, a high brand awareness, and a strong public good. It encourages originality, stimulates innovative thinking, displays the latest achievements of art and technological innovation, and spreads the latest concepts of digital art design, electronic technological innovation, and industry-university-research integration. So far, it has been held for fifteen consecutive sessions, collecting hundreds of thousands of works by hundreds of thousands of teachers and students from more than 1,800 famous domestic colleges and universities. 

In the contest, many colleges and universities participated, a great number of high-quality works were submitted, and strong pressure for competition were given. The teachers and students of NEFU were not afraid of strong rivals, dared to work hard, overcame the influence of the epidemic, carefully prepared for the competition, finely polished their works, and finally made a number of breakthroughs in the quantity and quality of the works, boosting the morale of teachers and students, and enhancing the reputation of the school.
