Recently, the 10th National College Digital Art Design Competition announced the review results. The series of works from NEFU themed “Green Innovation Promotes Low Carbon” won 11 national awards, such as the work “AI Cowherd - Traceability System of Precision-fed Cattle Products” designed by the teachers and students from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Among the 11 awards, we earned 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 4 third prizes.
The National College Digital Art Design Competition has been held annually since 2012. It is a high-standard and high-level nationwide professional competition. The “Student Group” and “Teacher Group” competitions are selected into the “National General College Discipline Competition Ranking List” and the “National General College Teacher Teaching Competition Project” which were released by Chinese Association of Higher Education. It is one of the important competition projects in college education and teaching reform and the cultivation of innovative talents, and it has a very wide influence. Since the first participation in 2020, NEFU has focused on propositions such as the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the global climate change, ecological security protection, and designed a series of creative works featured with green ecology, such as “Rice Harvesting and Baling Machine”, “Water Surface Guard - Algae Removal Robot”, “Fire Detective - Mountain fire Robot based on Visual Identity”, “The Design of Orchard Gardener - Intelligent Fruit Tree Pruning”. NEFU has achieved good results for 3 consecutive years, which has brought a good reputation for our university in authoritative industrial design competitions, and fully displayed NEFUer’s solid professional knowledge, innovation spirit and the connotation of our university’s discipline development under “Forestry Culture Cultivating Method”.
