On August 20th, the final round of the 8th China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest (CULSC) had a successful conclusion, and NEFU students reached the finals and gained great results. Our students won two first prizes, three second prizes and six third prizes after intense competition.

There are 12,069 teams from 562 universities involved in this competition.The six NEFU teams composed of undergraduate students from different colleges including the College of Life Sciences, Aulin College,the College of Forestry and the College of Wildlife and Nature Reserves entered the finals in Heilongjiang Province after the primary review, and then they went ready to engage in the next round of competition in Qiqihar University. Five teams set themselves apart from the field and was awarded a first prize in the provincial final. At the same time, they entered the national finals and the number of teams from our university ranked first among the colleges in Heilongjiang Province. Northeast Forestry University also earned an Excellent Organization Award.

The CULSC is one of the 56 national college student discipline competitions recognized by the Ministry of Education, and it is also one of the most influential and prestigious national college student competitions in the field of Life and Sciences. The programs the teams engaged in involved agricultural production, medical health, people’s well-being and service and beyond, fully showing the fruitful results of our innovative talents cultivation and the outstanding performance and further instigating the confidence and determination of continuous exploration in life and sciences.
