Recently, the 2023 National College Student Mathematical Modeling Contest concluded successfully. NEFU students, with their excellent mathematical modeling skills and team spirit, won one national first prize and eight second prizes, along with 113 provincial awards.

The National College Student Mathematical Modeling Contest has been held annually since 1992. It is one of the first 19 contests to be included in the "University Subject Competitions Ranking List." The competition aims to promote the application of mathematical modeling skills in university teaching and research, thereby advancing the development of mathematical modeling education. Participants are required to construct mathematical models and apply mathematical methods and computer technology to solve real-world problems. This process is intended to cultivate college students’ innovation, practical skills, and team spirit, as well as enhance their ability to tackle real-world issues.
