The 17th "Higher Education Cup" National Advanced Drawing Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition was recently held at Guizhou University. Students from NEFU’s School of Civil Engineering and Transportation achieved remarkable success, winning four first prizes, two second prizes, and four third prizes in the Road and Bridge and Architecture categories. They also secured the group first prize in both categories, showcasing the innovation and spirit of teamwork among NEFU students.

The Technical Drawing Committee and the Product Information Modeling Committee of the China Graphics Society, Guizhou University, and the Organizing Committee of the National Advanced Drawing Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition co-hosted the competition. This event, the highest-level national competition for graphics-related courses, is one of the most influential student competitions in the country. In 2018, the competition was included in the national university discipline competition rankings by the China Association of Higher Education. This year, 895 universities, 1,642 teams, and 12,694 students participated in the finals, underscoring its influence and reach.

The competition focused on challenges such as product information modeling and comprehensive BIM applications, aiming to lead the transformation in cultivating innovative talent in digital graphics. It seeks to pioneer new teaching models for emerging engineering disciplines, enhance students' creativity and innovation, and contribute to the nation's goal of training outstanding engineering and technical professionals.
