The China Model United Nations Conference, hosted by the United Nations Association of China, is a national event considered the most authoritative, influential, and realistic simulation of UN proceedings in China. Since its start in 2004, the conference has been held every year, inviting experienced former ambassadors, senior diplomats, and former international organization officials to serve as judges. The event aims to promote UN knowledge and values among young students, serving as a vital platform for understanding UN operations and multilateral diplomacy, as well as for developing high-caliber young talents with a global perspective. This year’s conference lasted four days and brought together over 400 student delegates, observers, and faculty advisors from more than 100 universities across the country.

During the four-day conference, NEFU’s Deng Qinqin served as a delegate to the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, which focuses on disarmament and international security. Focusing on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in the Military Field and Its Impact on International Peace and Security,” she drew on her academic background in international politics and military studies to actively promote cooperation among delegates, advance the agenda, and fulfill all responsibilities with distinction. Li Yi and Zhou Kaiyu served as delegates to the Tenth Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly. By closely monitoring evolving international developments, they quickly adapted their strategies and core messages. They delivered multiple statements to express their positions, making significant contributions to simulated efforts to address the Israel-Palestine issue. Serving in the conference’s main press center, Wang Yuxin participated as a delegate to the Ad Hoc Committee on Cybercrime. Focusing on the topic “Global Cybersecurity Governance in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” she closely followed delegates’ statements, refined news reports, and completed multiple briefings, interviews, and editorials, making outstanding contributions to the conference. Throughout the event, the NEFU delegation displayed strong international vision and a keen sense of social responsibility, greatly enhancing the university’s reputation and influence.
