From November 6 to 9, 2025, the 29th Annual Conference of the Society of China University Journals took place in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. Over 800 attendees participated, including officials from the Ministry of Education, PRC (Science and Information Technology Department), the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), and the Bureau of Publishing, Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, as well as invited experts and representatives from university journals nationwide.

During the conference, industry awards were presented, and NEFU’s English journal, Journal of Forestry Research, was recognized for its outstanding performance. The journal’s editorial team was selected for the “Chinese University Science and Technology Journal Demonstration Case Library: Outstanding Team Case.” Editor-in-Chief Yu Lei was named an “Outstanding Editor-in-Chief,” and Dr. Xu Tao was recognized as an “Outstanding Editor.” The journal became one of the few to achieve a “grand slam” in this selection. Additionally, the video abstract submitted by Bulletin of Botanical Research was chosen for the “Chinese University Science and Technology Journal Demonstration Case Library: Golden Key Video Abstract Case,” and the Journal of Forestry Research had two video abstracts selected for the “Copper Key Video Abstract Case.”
