Li Shixuan’s research article, “The Bridge and the Seed: Poems on AI and Cultural SDGs,” uses an innovative poetic format to emphasize the value of AI as a “bridge of civilization” and a “seed of culture.” It explores three areas: cultural heritage preservation, education accessibility, and the revival of traditions. The article demonstrates AI’s role in restoring ceramic artifacts, transcribing endangered languages, and providing education to remote areas, while also stressing the ethical principle that “AI must carry humanistic values, not replace human care.” This approach offers a poetic and practical pathway for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The short film “Culture Connects: Building Bridges to Tomorrow” uses adorable cat animations to clearly illustrate the importance of culture in fostering social development. It visually highlights culture’s positive influence on social agreement, vitality, and spiritual growth, making serious cultural topics more engaging and accessible.
“Being selected for both the creative writing, poetry, and short video works is not only a successful creative practice but also a profound ideological enlightenment,” said Li Shixuan. “This experience has given me a new understanding of culture, technology, and our shared future. Through this creative process, I realized that technology is not just cold coding; it is a tool full of humanistic care. I have learned to approach technology ethics with a broader, more inclusive perspective and firmly believe that a ‘resilient, shared, and decisive world’ is nurtured through the harmonious coexistence of technology and humanity.” He also expressed that participating in MONDIACULT 2025 allowed him to realize the responsibility and potential of the younger generation in global cultural governance. “The ‘seed’ planted through creation will inspire me to continue exploring the infinite possibilities of culture and technology in future learning and practice, and to work to protect our shared spiritual home tirelessly.”
