The outstanding achievements in this competition vividly demonstrate Northeast Forestry University’s commitment to implementing China’s national fitness strategy and promoting the initiative of “engaging 300 million people in ice and snow sports.” They also showcase the fruitful results of the university’s long-standing focus on sports education and its active efforts to promote winter sports on campus. In recent years, the university has proactively responded to the national call to “encourage 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports.” It has continually improved winter sports teaching facilities and built campus ice rinks, while also strongly supporting the development of student sports groups such as the university ski team. Since its inception, the NEFU ski team has embraced the training spirit of “fearing neither the cold nor challenges, and striving to reach new heights.” Despite limited training conditions, team members have persisted in scientific, systematic training. Step by step, they advanced from campus competitions to provincial tournaments, constantly surpassing their previous selves. Their sweep of multiple titles in this competition is the greatest reward for their persistent and dedicated efforts.
This well-earned honor has not only brought great pride to the university but has also significantly inspired enthusiasm among teachers and students to participate in winter sports. Looking ahead, Northeast Forestry University will continue to increase its support for ice and snow sports, offering better training and showcase platforms for the ski team and winter sports enthusiasts. In doing so, the university will contribute even more of NEFU’s strength to the development of winter sports in Heilongjiang Province and nationwide.
