About the Speaker

Dr. Li Mi is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of new mass energy and new materials at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His bachelor and master degrees were obtained from the College of Material Science and Engineering of NEFU. In 2014, he received his doctorate in wood science from Auburn University. His main research fields are biomass material pretreatment chemistry, cellulose and lignin chemistry, and bio-based nanomaterials, etc. Currently he has published nearly 30 papers in Nature Biotech., Green Chem., ChemSusChem, Biotechnol.Biofuels, ACS Sust. Chem. Eng. and other high-impact magazines in the field of new energy and chemistry. He has won the Outstanding Research Contribution Award from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Outstanding International Student Award at Auburn University, the Meriwether Award, and the Drummond Award. His research results have been highlighted by the U.S. Department of Energy and received the exclusive interview of the University of Auburn.
