About the Speaker

Zeng Qingyin(1973.11-), male, is a Ph.D. and researcher. He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Jilin University in 1998, a Ph.D. in molecular biology from UMEA University in Sweden in 2006, and was selected as a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund in 2014. From 2006 to 2017, he was successively the researcher of the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the leader of the research group on the functional evolution of genome and protein, and the professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Forestry and a director of the National Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding. He is mainly engaged in the research on the comparative functional genomics of the trees. He has published more than forty academic papers in domestic and foreign professional journals such as Plant Cell, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Plant Physiology, and New Phytologist etc. He has cultivated eight doctoral students, among whom three won the Outstanding Award of the President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and one student was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
