About the Speaker

Chen Baihai is the dean of the School of Eastern Studies in Heilongjiang University. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He also serves as the discipline leader of Japanese linguistics and literature of Heilongjiang Province, the leader of the provincial expert group, the counselor in the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, the member of the Ministry of Education Steering Committee for College Foreign Language Teaching, the vice chairman of the China Japanese Teaching Research Association, the vice chairman of the Heilongjiang Province Foreign Language Institute, and the vice chairman of the Heilongjiang Province Translators Association. He is also the editorial member ofJapanese Learning and ResearchandForeign Language Research. He has published more than 20 research papers and 9 monographs. He won provincial level Teaching Achievement Awards, and held one project sponsored by the national social science fund.
