About the Speaker

Pedram Fatehi(1978-) is the professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Lakehead University. He is also theCanada Research Chair (Tier II) and Industrial Research Chair. He specializes in the bio-refinery and bio-based materials which are related to pulp and paper engineering, especially the bio-refinery during the production of dissolving pulp, and the modification and application of the cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. He has published more than 120 papers and 3 autographs. He also held 22 research projects, including 7 projects sponsored by the Canadian National Natural Fund, and one by the Industry Federation Fund.
