From June 10th to 11th, the 7th Heilongjiang Province College Student Rugby Championship was held at Harbin Engineering University. Led by Guan Dapeng, the director of the Sports Department, and Liu Jianyu, the coach, after two days of fierce competition, our team finally won the first place in the men’s group and the first place in the women’s group of Easy Rugby League Group A for college students!

The 7th Heilongjiang College Student Rugby Championship is hosted by the Heilongjiang Province Student Sports Association, organized by Harbin Engineering University, and co-organized by the Heilongjiang Province Student Sports Association Rugby Branch. It is an annual provincial-level English rugby event. In the past year’s training, the rugby team of Northeast Forestry University insisted on strict management. The players seriously participated in the training, continuously enhanced their physical fitness, and actively discussed tactics and cooperation. In the end, both the men’s and women’s teams won the competition.

Sports carry the dream of national prosperity and national rejuvenation. The successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China officially sounded the call to accelerate the construction of a sports power. Since the launch of rugby course, NEFU has attached great importance to the popularization and promotion of rugby, and established the Inspiration Rugby Club to attract the teachers and students who are interested in rugby. NEFU holds two intramural rugby invitational matches every year, and invites all the students from each college to participate in the game. At present, we already have a strong team in the rugby field.
