From July 14 to July 16, the 18th National Intelligent Vehicle Competition for College Students (Northeast Region) was held in Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The Intelligent Fleet of NEFU won four first prizes, four second prizes and one excellence award in the Northeast Region Competition, and the number of first prize winners ranked second among all participating universities.

A total of 198 teams from 40 colleges and universities, including Harbin Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Northeast University, Harbin Engineering University, and Northeast Forestry University, etc. participated in this year’s National Intelligent Vehicle Competition for College Students (Northeast Region). NEFU participated in 9 groups of competitions, including cyclocross group, sound beacon group, unicycle group, negative pressure electromagnetic group, intelligent vision group, complete modeling group, electric energy relay group, camera tricycle group, and extreme cross-country group, and finally achieved remarkable results.

The National Intelligent Vehicle Competition for College Students is an exploratory engineering event for college students nationwide under the guiding principle of Being Based on Cultivation, Emphasizing on Participation, Encouraging Exploration and Pursuing Excellence, and is one of the important events sponsored by the National Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Project of the Ministry of Education. It aims to promote the quality education in higher education, cultivate the comprehensive knowledge application ability, basic engineering practice ability and innovative consciousness of college students, and stimulate the interest and potential of college students to engage in scientific research and exploration.
