On April 1st, hosted by the Youth League Committee of the province and undertaken by the Youth League Municipal Committee, the summary conference of young volunteers’ services in Harbin ice-snow travel season was held at Harbin Normal University. Jiang Yaxuan, Wang Peixuan, Xu Xin, Yu Jiahao, and Zhang Erkang were awarded the title of “The Most Beautiful Youth Volunteer.” The leaders of the Youth League Committee of the province, the Youth League Municipal Committee, and other relevant authorities attended the conference and awarded medals, and certificates to the winning groups and individuals.
In the most recent Harbin ice-snow travel season, NEFU successively organized thousands of young volunteers to contribute their efforts to the development of ice-snow tourism. The volunteers served as guides to help tourists gain a better feeling of forest culture and an experience of ice-snow charm in more than ten important events like the China (Harbin) Forest Museum, the 40th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, and the Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Exposition. They also vividly told stories about the “devotion spirit” in NEFU and were committed to the reception work of Harbin tourism, which is part of efforts to promote the revitalization of Heilongjiang Province in all respects.
The conference honored 12 “Most Beautiful Youth Volunteer Service groups” and 150 “Most Beautiful Youth Volunteers”, which is aimed at making a summary of the experience and performance of youth volunteer service in the Harbin Ice-Snow travel season in all sectors and stimulating young volunteers to write their volunteer stories of the new era with concrete actions. What’s more, the conference underscores that volunteer service, which is so warm in the ice-snow travel season, has been one of the sweet memories in Harbin. We need to make this wonderful experience of not living up to fascinating landscapes and tourists’ expectations become an excellent prologue for the opening of the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025.
In the next phase, the NEFU Youth League Committee will continue to deepen the work of Youth Volunteer service and seize the key time points like “3•5”, the China Youth Volunteer-service Day, and “12•5”, the International Volunteer Day to encourage more League members to register as volunteers. In addition, based on the support of some student clubs such as “Greenangel” Young Volunteers Association and Society for the Protection of Birds, the NEFU Youth League Committee will make concrete progress in the projection, branding, and standardization of youth volunteers, rendering the engagement of volunteer service popular in NEFU and consistently pooling the power of the youth for boosting the revitalization of the northeast China and building China into a country with a healthy environment.
