The "Smart Vehicle" competition, organized by the Chinese Association of Automation, is a cutting-edge technological competition based on the rapidly growing and promising field of automotive electronics. It covers multiple disciplines, such as automatic controls, pattern recognition, sensor technology, electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and automotive technology. The competition consists of several stages: theoretical design, practical production, full vehicle debugging, and live competitions. It combines scientific rigor with fun and entertainment, requiring students to form teams and collaborate. This event significantly enhances students' ability to integrate knowledge and develop practical, hands-on skills. This year, 615 universities and 3,165 teams participated in the preliminary rounds, with 236 universities, 550 teams, and over 2,200 students and faculty members advancing to the finals. After intense and competitive rounds, 183 first prizes were awarded.
On July 18th, NEFU's Baidu Innovation team competed in the national selection competition held at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology.
On July 25th and 26th, six of NEFU's smart vehicle teams participated in the Northeastern regional selection competition at Jilin University.
