The 26th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition's national finals concluded on August 25th. Teams representing NEFU’s School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering earned an impressive nine national awards, including one first prize, six second prizes, and two third prizes.

This year's competition was in a hybrid format, combining in-person and remote participation. It brought together nearly 10,000 competitors from over 1,000 teams, representing top universities such as Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The NEFU School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering sent 11 teams to compete in five subcategories, including the Humanoid Robot Innovation Challenge, the Robot Application Contest, and the Robot Mission Challenge. After competing at the provincial level, 9 of our teams advanced to the national finals. The students rose to the challenge, overcoming various difficulties, continuously improving their projects, and making thorough preparations, ultimately achieving outstanding results.

The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition (CRAIC), established in 1999, is a prestigious national competition with a long history, large scale, and wide-reaching influence. Its main objective is to drive robotics technology development, using the competition as a platform to foster student innovation. The event covers various educational stages, including higher and vocational education. NEFU has participated in the competition for many years, consistently achieving excellent results. This participation has significantly boosted students' interest in learning, improved their practical skills, and enhanced their competitiveness in the job market.
