The results of the 2017 “Higher Education Press Cup” China Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest were announced. A total of 49 teams from NEFU won the prizes, of which 5 were national second prizes, 23 provincial first prizes, 14 provincial second prizes, and 7 provincial third prizes, with the total number of prizes reaching a record high.

The China Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest was founded in 1992. It is held once a year. In 2017, nearly 110,000 undergraduates, comprised of 36,375 teams from 1,418 universities and institutions in 34 provinces, cities and districts (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), Singapore, and Australia signed up for this contest. The Mathematics Department of theCollegeofSciencefrom NEFU selected outstanding teachers to give systematic guidance to the team, which provided a strong guarantee for the achievement of the scores.
