Recently, the results of the 25th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition in 2023 were announced. NEFU won 10 national awards and 24 competition area awards. Among them, there are 1 national first prize, 5 second prizes, and 4 third prizes. Besides, there are 5 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 6 excellence awards in the competition area. NEFU also won the Excellent Organization Award, and several Excellent Instructor Awards.



At the early stage of the competition, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Computer and Control Engineering, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, and the School of Home Furnishing and Art Design actively organized relevant training and on-campus selection. A total of 68 people were selected to participate in 24 events of the competition in half a year.

During the preparation period, each school allocated professional teachers and started the competition publicity and team building work. Each participating team successively carried out technical learning, venue construction, design and assembly, control system design, code writing, testing and adjustment training, and continuously polished their works. During the competition, the team members worked together rigorously, and actively prepared for the battle. After in-depth exchanges, repeated debugging, continuous polishing, and pursuit of excellence, they finally achieved good results, which fully demonstrated the unity of NEFU students. The spirit of working hard, giving full play to advantages, and striving to be the best has improved students’ ability to innovate and practice.

In recent years, NEFU has attached great importance to the cultivation of college students’ innovative practical ability, adhered to the teaching concept of promoting teaching and learning through competitions, constantly stimulating students’ autonomy, enthusiasm and innovation in learning, and mobilizing teachers’ passion in teaching reform. Therefore, we could achieve the combination of subject competition, teaching reform and talent training, continuously strengthen the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship education, continuously improve the quality of student training, promote the comprehensive improvement of students’ overall quality, and take multiple measures to cultivate high-level application-oriented talents, and finally create the the new circumstance of combining learning with competitions to promote both teaching and learning.

The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition is an important event listed in the 2022 National College Student Competition Analysis Report issued by the China Association of Higher Education. It has been successfully held for 24 sessions from 1999 to 2022. It has played an active role in promoting scientific and technological innovation practice, cultivating engineering practice ability, improving teamwork level, and cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship spirit, which fully demonstrates the innovation and collaboration ability of contemporary college students, promotes the development of robotics and related industries, and cultivates a group of innovative, hands-on, collaborative and hard-working scientific and technological elites.
