To provide employers with early insights into the professional training of NEFU graduates and create favorable conditions for talent recruitment and development, NEFU partnered with Kaisheng Furniture (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. to establish a new student internship and employment base. The unveiling ceremony for this base—the first overseas student internship and employment platform for NEFU—was held on October 15 in Room 331 of the International Conference Hall, Animal Protection Building.
Key university and industry leaders attended the event, including Liu Shouxin, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President; Song Yongming, Dean of the School of Home and Art Design; Yuan Xisheng, General Manager of Production at Kaisheng Furniture; He Zhan, General Manager of Polinno-Baggi Italy (China); and Wang Xinpeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The ceremony was hosted by Liu Ziying, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Home Design.
In his speech, Liu Shouxin expressed hope that establishing this overseas internship and employment base would be a valuable opportunity for the university and enterprises to collaborate in creating a high-quality platform for NEFU students’ internships and employment. He emphasized the importance of offering students the chance to broaden their horizons, clarify their career paths, and lay a solid foundation for future professional development. Liu also conveyed a desire for deeper industry collaboration in the future, advancing the university-industry partnership to new levels.
Yuan Xisheng, Production Manager of Kaisheng Furniture, pledged to make the base a model overseas internship and employment center for NEFU students by providing quality training and support. He expressed a strong commitment to expanding the partnership with the university to explore high-quality pathways for integrated university-industry development, ultimately contributing to the growth of the national furniture industry.

The unveiling ceremony officially established NEFU’s first overseas internship and employment base. This new platform provides NEFU students with an exceptional opportunity to expand their international perspectives, enhance their professional skills, and bring fresh energy and talent resources to the enterprise.
Following the ceremony, He Zhan, General Manager of Polinno-Baggi Italy (China), delivered a special lecture titled Advanced Solid Wood Furniture Manufacturing Equipment from Around the World. The presentation introduced cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to the faculty and students.
