Recently, the 19th National College Students' Intelligent Car Competition Outdoor Finals were successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei, and Wuhu, Anhui. NEFU's Intelligent Car Team competed in three categories: the Outdoor ROS Autonomous Vehicle Race, the Outdoor 5G Remote-Controlled Autonomous Vehicle Competition, and the Outdoor Smart Driving Challenge. Out of 1,050 participating teams nationwide, the NEFU team stood out, advancing to the national finals and winning one first prize, one second prize, and one third prize. They achieved one first and two second prizes in the earlier regional selection rounds.

The National College Students' Intelligent Car Competition, organized by the Chinese Association of Automation under the commission of the Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education, is a prestigious event consistently featured in the Ministry of Education's National Discipline Competition Rankings. Guided by the principles of "Fostering Development, Emphasizing Participation, Encouraging Exploration, and Striving for Excellence," the competition integrates knowledge from diverse fields such as control systems, pattern recognition, sensing technology, automotive electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and energy systems. It is pivotal in inspiring students to engage in scientific research, enhancing their ability to apply interdisciplinary knowledge, and cultivating engineering practice and innovation skills.

This year, NEFU’s Intelligent Car Team delivered remarkable performances in the National College Students' Intelligent Car Competition, securing three national first prizes, four second prizes, and one third prize across all categories. Additionally, the team achieved ten first and second prizes in the regional selection rounds. The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering remains dedicated to "Enhancing Learning, Teaching, and Reform Through Competitions." The school actively participates in high-level professional competitions, advancing research and application in emerging engineering education and related fields. It is committed to cultivating more exceptional application-oriented talents who combine strong theoretical knowledge with practical skills, driving innovation in science and technology.
