1. Program Overview

Founded in 2000, this program follows the talent training model of “demand-oriented, college-enterprise cooperation, collaborative education”. Based on training with a solid theoretical foundation, excellent professional skills, eclectic innovative thinking, and engineering practice ability, graduates can engage in scientific research, technology development, engineering design, engineering management, and other work related to electrical engineering. In 2015, it was selected as the “Pilot Project of Comprehensive Professional Reform” of the Ministry of Education, passed the professional engineering education certification in 2019, and was rated as the national first-class undergraduate professional construction point in 2021.

2. Training Objectives

This program is designed to meet the needs of national economic and technological development, with good humanities literacy, social responsibility and professional ethics; Broad natural science foundation, solid electrical engineering professional foundation and professional skills; Engineering practice and ability to solve complex engineering problems; Team management and communication skills; Applied technical talents or management talents who can engage in scientific research, technology development, engineering management and engineering design related to electrical fields, especially new energy in forest areas.

3. Core curriculum

Core introductory courses: Circuit, Analog Electronic Technology, Digital Electronic Technology, Power Electronic Technology, Electrical Engineering, Professional English.

Core professional courses: Principles and applications of single chip microcomputers, principles of automatic control, power system analysis, Electrical control and Programmable controllers, high voltage technology, power transmission control systems, the electrical part of power plants, and power system relay protection.

Main practical teaching links: Metalworking practice, Electrical Basic experiment, College Physics Experiment A, Electronic Technology course design, cognition practice, SCM Principle and Application course design, Power Electronics Technology course design, Electrical control and Programmable controller course design, electric drive control course design, power system analysis course design, power plant electrical part course design, production practice, scientific research and engineering practice Graduation project (thesis).

4. Characteristic advantages

Feature 1: In 2021, it will be rated as the national first-class undergraduate professional construction point; In 2019, it passed the national engineering education professional certification, providing students with a "passport" with international mutually recognized quality standards to go to the world; University-level key majors, with bachelor of engineering, master of engineering, professional master degree conferral right; With perfect experimental teaching conditions, there are 11 laboratories, covering a total area of more than 1000 square meters, of which the intelligent distribution network laboratory is the first new energy power generation grid-connected experiment platform in Northeast China, and there are eight practice bases jointly built by colleges and enterprises, and one provincial virtual simulation laboratory.

Feature 2: Strong faculty strength, senior title teachers accounted for 86%, teachers with overseas research and training experience accounted for 43%, high academic level, rigorous style of study; Strong scientific research strength, sufficient scientific research funds, rich scientific research results; Remarkable teaching achievements, undertaking several provincial and ministerial level teaching and research projects and excellent courses; In the past five years, we have built eight university-level key courses and won 4 first prizes and 3 second prizes of provincial teaching achievements.

Feature 3: The 2021 undergraduate talent training program trains students according to the standards of engineering certification. The curriculum is scientific and reasonable, pays attention to theoretical teaching, expands practical ability, and students have strong comprehensive ability after graduation. In terms of employment, the major has established good cooperative relations with large domestic enterprises and institutions (State Grid Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, China Railway, China Construction, Midea Group, Shandong Taikai Electric Group Co., LTD., BYD Automobile, Huichuan Technology, etc.). Over the past three years, over 80 outstanding graduates have worked in power enterprises and institutions such as State Grid Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, and China Guodian Group.

Feature 4: The quality of talent training has been improved year by year. Every year, nearly 20 outstanding graduates are recommended to study for master's degree in well-known universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University without examination. Another 20-30 graduates are admitted to Wuhan University, Shandong University, North China Electric Power University and other colleges and universities, with an overall enrollment rate of nearly 40%. In addition, the university carries out international cooperation in various ways to cultivate talents and selects excellent undergraduates to exchange studies and pursue master's degrees abroad.

5. Where Graduates Go

Enrollment◆In the past three years, the graduate enrollment rate exceeded 39%, and 100% entered the "double first-class" discipline construction universities;

◆The central institutions include Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, North China Electric Power University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Hunan University, etc.

Employment◆The average employment rate in the past three years is more than 90%, and the employment is widely distributed in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, developed coastal cities, and northeast China;

◆Main employers: State Grid Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, China Guodian Corporation, China Railway Group, China Construction Group, Haier, Midea Group, Changan Automobile, Gree Electric Appliances, SinotruK, Yutong Group, etc.

Go abroad or exit the country◆In the past three years, six people have gone abroad to famous universities such as Imperial College London and the University of Western Australia.
