The Forestry discipline at our college embraces the motto, “Learning in harmony with nature, virtue in unity with the universe.” Located in the state-owned forest regions of Northeast China and extending its influence nationwide, it addresses critical developmental needs and practical challenges in forestry production. In line with the cultivation characteristics of professional master’s degree candidates in forestry, the discipline has established multiple specialized practice bases and innovative platforms for postgraduate education. This initiative has resulted in a comprehensive, integrated, and application-oriented curriculum system that combines traditional teaching methodologies with case-based instruction specifically designed for the development of forestry master’s students, focusing on the practical management of wildlife and nature reserves in Northeast China and across the country.
Leveraging its resource advantages, platform strengths, and scientific, theoretical, and technological achievements, the discipline focuses on wildlife and nature reserve management. It cultivates high-level, research-oriented, application-oriented, and versatile professionals equipped with robust political and ideological qualities, professionalethics, systematic theoretical knowledge in forestry, and proficiency in modern technologies to meet the developmental needs of ecological civilization construction. The program currently maintains a faculty of 39 master's supervisors, including 18 professors and 18 associate professors.
