The program originated from the Mechatronics Engineering specialty, which was established in 1995. It was officially renamed Mechatronic Engineering with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2008, passed the Engineering Education Professional Certification in June 2021, and was approved as a National First-class Undergraduate Program Construction Site in June 2022. Adhering to the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, the program persists in leading new engineering education initiatives, leveraging the opportunity of engineering education certification. It utilizes practical platforms, including the Ministry of Education’s “Undergraduate Teaching Project” off-campus practice education base, Heilongjiang Province’s “Double Base” qualified teaching laboratories, and multiple provincial/ministerial-level key laboratories. Integrating scientific research, education, and industry-academia collaboration, the program maintains its distinctive inclusive development path to serve national economic construction and industrial development.
This program cultivates senior engineering professionals who patriotically practice socialist core values, adapt to national economic and social development needs, meet contemporary industrial requirements, and possess sound character, physical health, and humanistic literacy. Graduates will demonstrate strong practical capabilities, innovative awareness, teamwork spirit, international perspective, and effective communication skills. Equipped with solid engineering theories and technical competencies, they will be qualified to engage in design, manufacturing, control, development, applied research, and production management of intelligent mechatronic products and systems in mechanical-electronic engineering.
