Disciplinary Overview

The College of Economics and Management (CEM) currently hosts a Postdoctoral Research Station specializing in Agricultural and Forestry Economic Management. It also offers a doctoral program in Agricultural and Forestry Economic Management, featuring four specialized research areas: Forestry Economic Management, Agricultural Economic Management, Carbon Sink Economic Management, and Urban-Rural Integration and Social Governance. Additionally, CEM provides three master’s programs in Agricultural and Forestry Economic Management, Business Administration, and Applied Economics. These programs encompass 10 specialized research directions, including Forestry Economic Management, Agricultural Economic Management, Carbon Sink Economic Management, Urban-Rural Integration and Social Governance, Accounting Business Management, Technology Economy and Management, Economic Statistics International Trade, and Resource and Ecological Economics. CEM also offers four professional master’s degree programs: MA, MPAcc, MF, and MBA. At the undergraduate level, CEM provides six bachelor’s degree programs. With these offerings, the College of Economics and Management at NEFU has established a comprehensive disciplinary system in economics and management.

Over the past five years, the college has undertaken nearly 300 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Program, sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, with a total of newly acquired research funding exceeding 30 million yuan. The faculty has published 16 monographs and more than 500 papers in nationally recognized core Chinese journals, including 291 high-level academic papers indexed in SCI, SSCI, EI, CSSCI, and CSCD. Additionally, they have received 12 provincial or ministerial-level research achievement awards, including 2 first and 6 second prizes. The college has established academic exchanges and cooperative relationships with several countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Finland, South Korea, and Russia.
