College Information

The Aulin College of Northeast Forestry University, jointly established by Northeast Forestry University in China and the University of Auckland in New Zealand, is a non-independent legal person Sino-foreign cooperative education institution. It was approved by the Ministry of Education on April 15, 2019, and is affiliated with Northeast Forestry University (referred to as "NEFU"), with its campus located on the Northeast Forestry University campus.

Mission and Purpose

Aulin College adheres to "introducing high-quality educational resources and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation". It upholds the development goals of high starting point positioning, high-standard operation, and high-level training. By deeply introducing high-quality educational resources from its foreign partner universities, appointing outstanding teachers from Northeast Forestry University, and adopting full English or bilingual teaching, the college is committed to cultivating innovative and compound talents with a sense of patriotism, international vision, knowledge of international rules, and global competence. The college has advanced teaching facilities, including an independent teaching office building, 28 smart classrooms, and two multi-functional lecture halls, providing an excellent student-centered classroom environment.

Professional setup and enrollment

The college offers four undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering Management, and a master's program in Ecology. The undergraduate programs of Computer Science and Technology, Biotechnology and Chemistry, and the master's program in Ecology are jointly run by the college and the University of Auckland in New Zealand as Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. The Engineering Management program is jointly run with Aston University in the UK and is under the unified management of the college. The college plans to admit 405 undergraduate and 20 postgraduate students (including 10 within the plan and 10 through independent recruitment) each year.

Talent training system

Aulin College strictly implements the talent training program jointly formulated by China and foreign countries, ensuring that the courses and core courses of foreign cooperation universities account for more than one-third of the total courses and core courses, and the number of core courses and teaching hours undertaken by foreign teachers also account for more than one-third. The College follows the basic requirements of high starting point, high standard, and high level, as well as the teaching quality guarantee system, to ensure the quality of personnel training.
