The Future Technology College focuses on three key areas under the dual-carbon strategy: digital intelligence-driven forestry, digital intelligence-driven forestry and grassland biology, and digital intelligence-driven forestry engineering. It offers four specialized programs (categories): Forestry (Top Talents Chengdong Class), Forestry Engineering (Top Talents Chengdong Class), Biological Sciences (Top Talents Chengdong Class), and Smart Forestry (Top Talents Chengdong Class). By leveraging educational resources from the national "Double First-Class" construction disciplines and the university's multidisciplinary integration platform, thecollegebuilds a talent cultivation platform that meets the demands of future technological development. Students who meet the basic criteria for recommended exemption from entrance examinations, as outlined in the university's implementation measures, can obtain the qualification for proposed exemption.
The academic system for students recommended for master's programs through exemption is 6 years, and for those recommended for doctoral programs through exemption is 8 years.
Educational Features

"1": General Education. The first year emphasizes foundational knowledge, a broad curriculum, and a holistic approach. Each first-year student is assigned a class advisor, an undergraduate academic advisor, and a peer mentor. After the first year, students can reapply to choose among the four programs based on their interests and development goals.
"2": Domain and Professional Education. A comprehensive knowledge map is formed for each domain. The second year focuses on domain-specific foundational courses. For students admitted under broad categories, specialized training begins before the end of the second year. Professional course education starts in the third year, with each program offering different direction-specific modules based on future development areas. Students choose modules based on their academic interests.
