The Ecology discipline has the Heilongjiang Mao’ershan Forest Ecosystem National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station (abbreviated asMao’ershan Ecological Station), located in the Mao’ershan experimental forest farm of Northeast Forestry University. Renowned for its strong regional representativeness, typical vegetation, long-standing establishment, and solid foundational research, the Mao’ershan Ecological Station has become a key field station in the China Forest Ecosystem Research Network (CFERN). It was also among the first batch of field scientific observation and research stations approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2006. In recognition of its excellence, the Mao’ershan Ecological Station was honored as an Outstanding Unit among the National Terrestrial Ecosystem Positioning and Observation Research Stations in 2022.
Key Laboratory of Sustainable Forest Ecosystem Management, Ministry of Education, co-established with the School of Forestry in Northeast Forestry University, was approved for construction in 2019 and passed the acceptance inspection in 2022. Equipped with advanced laboratory analytical instruments and seamlessly integrated field research platforms, the laboratory provides robust support for talent cultivation and scientific research in degree programs.
