Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Road Structure and Green Ecological Technology

Overview

The Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Road Structure and Green Ecological Technology, affiliated with Northeast Forestry University, was established by the College of Civil Engineering and Transportation (formerly the College of Civil Engineering) and was officially approved by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology in December 2017. In response to the rapid development of the national transportation industry and the growing demand for environmentally friendly and green ecological approaches, the laboratory focuses on technical challenges in the construction and operation of cold-region road engineering. It aims to comprehensively promote the development of the discipline of road and railway engineering, foster interdisciplinary integration, cultivate high-level professionals in the road engineering sector, and serve the needs of engineering construction and social development. The laboratory plays an essential role in advancing transportation science and technology undertakings in Heilongjiang Province, supporting the technological progress of the transportation sector, and providing strong scientific and technological support for revitalizing the old industrial bases in Heilongjiang Province.

The laboratory has shown robust development momentum, earning the Heilongjiang Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Base Award in 2020. It currently boasts 25 permanent researchers, including eight professors, 13 associate professors and senior engineers, and three lecturers and engineers, with 14 holding doctoral degrees. The laboratory covers an area of 1,200 square meters and possesses research instruments and equipment valued at 13 million RMB.

Since its establishment, the laboratory has undertaken over 220 research projects, with a total project funding exceeding 26 million RMB. Researchers have published over 180 academic papers, including 105 papers indexed by SCI and 30 papers indexed by EI, and have been granted over 62 patents, including 14 invention patents.
